Stratis Chanis
Registered Physiotherapist No. 10711
My interest in movement and the functioning of the human body led me to study Physical Activity and Sports Sciences in Greece. This first stage sparked my curiosity to better understand injuries and recovery processes, and motivated me to take the step towards Physiotherapy, which I studied in Amsterdam.
During my training, I completed internships in Greece, the Netherlands and India, in orthopedic hospitals and physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation centres. These experiences allowed me to learn about different care approaches and understand the importance of treating each person considering their circumstances, needs and goals.
After graduating, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I worked for four years as a physiotherapist, mainly in the musculoskeletal and orthopedic field. There, I treated patients of various ages and cultures, including international patients, with sports injuries, joint problems and recovery processes after surgery. During this time, I developed my expertise in clinical assessment, musculoskeletal ultrasound, shockwave therapy, manual therapy and dry needling, integrating these tools with the therapeutic exercise and individualized rehabilitation programs.
I understand physiotherapy as a process in which the clinical knowledge and the active participation of the patient go hand in hand. My goal is to help each person to better understand what is happening to them, regain their functionality and gain confidence in movement, both in their daily life and in sports practice.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy the sea and the mountains, especially through surfing, snowboarding, mountaineering and swimming. These are activities that are part of my life and reinforce my interest in movement and everything it allows us to do.
